I Am Legend

What was marketed as a cancer cure has mutated into an infectious disease that has turned the population into mindless, zombie-like killers. Robert Neville (played by Will Smith) is one of the few survivors, and is continuing his search across the whole of New York for the cure that will save what remains of humanity.

Chicken Run

The makers of Wallace and Grommit are also behind Chicken Run – an action-packed and laugh-out-loud adventure about a group of chickens who attempt to escape the farm they’re on before they’re all made into pies by the evil Mrs Tweedy.

Mamma Mia!

Pierce Brosnan’s singing might not be up to scratch, but Mamma Mia! is still the perfect comfort musical to warm the cockles of your heart as you sing along to Abba tunes. One young girl – Sophie – is due to get married and wants her father to walk her down the aisle. However, there are three potential candidates for the job.

Psycho

Peacock actually has an entire section dedicated to Alfred Hitchcock films, but if you’ve not seen any them then your best bet is to start with this absolute classic. When a secretary goes on the run from an employer, they end up at the Bates Motel – run by the mysterious Norman Bates who is under the watchful eye of his controlling mother.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

When a gentle alien creature finds itself on Earth, it befriends a young boy called Elliot. Elliot takes the newly dubbed ‘E.T.’ into his home and does his best to keep the alien a secret. However, when E.T. falls ill, things become a lot more complicated.

The Breakfast Club

Step back in time with eighties classic, The Breakfast Club. This movie brings together four differing personalities – a rebel, a princess, an outcast, a brain and a jock – and allows each of them to tell their own story whilst they are all stuck in detention together.

The Bourne Identity

There’s five films now in the Bourne franchise – and you can binge the first five over on Peacock. The best place to start is with the first, which follows a man who has lost his memory. As he tries to learn more about his life, he finds himself embarking on a dangerous mission.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Though Peacock has the whole Potter series its library, the third movie is without a doubt a standout. It’s one of the few stories to not feature the Dark Lord Voldy, but does feature time travel, an estranged godfather and tons of teenaged antics.
