How to remove passwords from PDF files in Google Chrome
Ensure you have the latest version of Google Chrome installed on your machine and drag and drop the PDF file in question up into the Chrome tab at the top. Select the print option at the top right. Once the print interface loads, click on ‘Change…’ under the destination and select ‘Save as PDF’. You can then ‘Save’ it up at the top left and once you open it up again there won’t be a password attached to the file.

There are two standout pieces of free software that allow you to remove passwords from PDF files. PDFelement and PDF Password Remover are both good options, both very easy to use and powerful tools. The software is very intuitive to use, simply open up your PDF file after you have downloaded and installed the software and follow the provided instructions.
How to remove a password from a PDF file using Adobe Reader
Download and install Adobe Reader then open up your desired PDF within it. Head over to File, Properties and go to your Permission Details on the left. In the Security tab, select ‘No Security’ in the ‘Security Method’ drop-down menu to remove the password, then save the PDF.
