As spotted by the likes of XDA Developers, in the most recent version Xiaomi’s Mi Watch app -required to fully utilise any of the company’s wearables – there are a couple of new entries that until weren’t known. One is the ‘Mi Watch Revolve’ and the other being the ‘Mi Smart Band 4C’. Based on the imagery and a few other tidbits, it’s thought that both wearables are rebranded iterations of products the company already sells in its native market of China. In the case of the 4C, that’s thought to be an alternative name for the Redmi Band, which the company launched in April this year, while the Mi Watch Revolve is assumed to be the international name for the Mi Watch Color – the company’s second-ever smartwatch – which arrived in China at the end of 2019.

The existence of the Mi Watch Revolve has only been compounded by an apparent video hands-on (above) by Spanish tech YouTuber eSavants, who claims he was able to simply purchase the wearable through online retailer AliExpress for €90 (which equates to £81/US$100/AU$145). Although the listing only mentions the Mi Watch Color, eSavants is able to connect to it through Xiaomi’s app by selecting ‘Mi Watch Revolve’.

Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve expected features

As for the product itself, it’s unclear why Xiaomi has opted for the ‘Revolve’ naming convention, considering the watch doesn’t feature a rotating bezel or any obvious ties to the word as part of its design, akin to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Based on the Mi Watch Color’s spec sheet, here’s what the Revolve might bring to the table:

Finishes/versions: Fashion Silver, Elegant Black, Keith Haring EditionDimensions: 46.2×53.3×11.4mmCasing material: Stainless steelDisplay: Circular 1.39in 454×454 AMOLED, touch-enabledOS: PropietaryConnectivity: Bluetooth 5.0, LE, GPS (+ GLONASS)Sensors: Heart rate, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, pressure, ambient lightBattery: 420mAhWater resistance: Up to 5ATM (swim-proof)

There’s also no word on whether the Revolve will enjoy the same Keith Haring special edition that’s found on the Mi Watch Color (pictured at the top of this article), nor do we know when or where the watch will formally launch, however, we’ll update this piece once we know more.
